Ayurveda for Beauty and Health
Beauty comes from within’, a very old saying that probably originates from the ancient texts of Ayurveda. According to this ‘Science of Life’, each individual is born unique, composed of a combination of energies or elements, their derivatives being divided into doshas (physiological constitution), dhatus (tissues), and malas (waste products).
We can build a whole lifestyle around what predominant dosha (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) we are born with.
What physical exercise would benefit us? What food should we eat or stay away from? What should our daily routines and sleeping habits be? Would a 9 to 5 job be best or shift work? All these things are taken into consideration when balancing our health in Ayurveda, even down to our spiritual practice.
How many times have you looked at someone and they have been radiant. Their skin glows, their eyes sparkle, they are filled with energy and even their attitude is a positive one. This is the goal of Ayurveda, to help individuals produce a daily routine that will help them become beautiful and radiant from the inside out.
Here at the Vedic Cultural Fellowship we offer consultations, cleansing techniques and rejuvenation practices that will help you take control of your overall health and beauty regime.
Ayurvedic Massage is also offered all year round for those wishing to take advantage of warm exotic oils. Copious amounts of oils are used from the feet to the head, allowing the essence of herbs and flowers to sink deep into the skin and then into the bodies system. Herbal steams, masks and moisturizers can compliment your massage.
Specific skin aliments and scarring can be treated with our electronic gem lamps.
Retreats will be offered for health, beauty and rejuvenation of the body, mind and spirit beginning 2006.
Pancha karma, a deep rejuvenation technique will also be offered at specific times of the year, supervised by top Ayurvedic doctors.
