Sunday Satsang
PLEASE JOIN US FOR SATSANG EVERY THIRD SUNDAY OF THE MONTH BEGINNING JANUARY 21, 2007. (Please call ahead of time)
New Rishikesh is open for a special satsang the third Sunday of every month, beginning at 4:00pm. There is a beautiful puja first and “arotrika' ceremony offered in the temple. During the puja we have congregational chanting of sacred mantras accompanied by musical instruments and percussion.
Following the kirtan and bhajan (chanting), a spiritual discussion or lecture (satsang) ensues. This may be given by Hamsavatar, or by visiting Swamis or other teachers, discussing different aspects of Vedic spiritual life, yoga, the different yoga systems and the ultimate goal of Vedic spiritual thought.
Once satsang and discussion is finished there is a vegetarian feast of “maha-prasadam” (foodstuffs offered to the Supreme Lord) offered to the attending guests. The cuisine is mainly Indian and cooked by some of the most talented and devoted cooks one could ever have the fortune to meet.
Your experience will be infused with the smells, sounds and tastes of the heavenly, spiritually surcharged atmosphere and we promise you will have a meal you shall never forget! All are welcome.
Tired of doing the same old thing every Sunday, come to beautiful New Rishikesh ashram and experience something transcendental.
